About Me

Hi, I'm Erika Zink—a certified Health & Wellness Coach passionate about helping people simplify the change process and build sustainable habits that shift them from just getting by to feeling energized, balanced, and fully engaged in life. My goal is to help you break free from overwhelm, create balance, and cultivate a healthier, more fulfilling life—one small, meaningful step at a time.

My Coaching Approach

With certifications from the Functional Medicine Coaching Academy (FMCA) and the National Board for Health & Wellness Coaching (NBC-HWC), as well as training as a Certified HeartMath Practitioner, I bring a well-rounded, science-backed, and heart-centered approach to my coaching. My specialty? Helping people navigate stress, find balance, and create time for meaningful changes in the Five Pillars of Wellness: Nutrition, Movement, Sleep, Stress Management, and Relationships.

I believe that true well-being goes beyond just getting through the day—it's about thriving, not just surviving. Through small, sustainable shifts, I help my clients move from a place of overwhelm and exhaustion to feeling more energized, balanced, and in control of their health. My approach is practical and personalized because no two people are the same, and health isn't one-size-fits-all. Together, we'll create a plan that fits your life in a way that feels manageable, empowering, and even enjoyable.

From Scientist to Health Coach

Like many, my path wasn't a straight line. I started as a staff scientist at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, spending my days immersed in data, preparing samples, and advancing science—but I always felt like something was missing. Between 2016 and 2018, I went through a period of deep reflection, struggled with anxiety and chronic inflammation, and the consequences of a lifestyle that didn't align with my personality or well-being. It became clear that if I didn't start making changes soon, I might not get the chance later.

During this time, I became fascinated with habit formation, functional medicine, and the psychology of behavior change. I saw firsthand how small, intentional shifts could create a profound impact. This realization led me to transition from research to health coaching—where I could apply both science and strategy to help others build healthier lives.

Life in the Pacific Northwest

Born and raised in southeastern Washington, I call this high-desert landscape home. When I'm not coaching, you'll find me exploring the outdoors, hiking mountain trails, cooking up new recipes, or soaking in the beauty of the Columbia Basin. I'm a proud introvert, a Highly Sensitive Person, and a firm believer that life's best moments happen in the balance between adventure and stillness.
